Biography

Reid Hart is a Lead Building R&D Engineer working on various Building Energy Codes improvement and Building Systems Analysis. Reid's work in the energy field started 38 years ago as an energy analyst and energy project manager doing energy analysis and retrofit design for schools, institutional, commercial, and military facilities in the Western United States and Europe for EMC Engineers and Systems West Engineers. He then joined EWEB, a municipal utility, to supervise their commercial energy management group for 14 years. He also taught Energy Control Strategies for the Lane Community College Energy Management Technician program for 11 years. He worked with PECI for 4 years, focusing on training and energy savings research into emerging technology and unitary HVAC retrofits. Reid is a frequently invited speaker to present on building energy efficiency related topics and has published over 21 conference proceedings and technical reports.
