Majid identifies professionally as a computational and data scientist. After completing his Bachelor’s degree he worked in the energy industry. Then, he conducted simulation-based micro/nano scale energy transfer research as part of his Master’s thesis work in mechanical engineering. From there he decided to repurpose his skills towards data science by completing a Master’s degree in computational science and informatics where he focused on time series analysis. Majid’s professional experiences in data science include an internship at Anaconda, applying advanced analytics at Enertiv, and developing machine learning capabilities at Kinetica.

Since joining PNNL in April, 2019, he has been supporting Asset Score with tooling and analyses. He has also been supporting machine-learning driven energy efficiency research for DoD’s Environmental Security Technology Certification Program.
